Simply replace the clamping pins – and material can be processed on 6” cores with NEPATA rewinders.
The “thicker” trunnion can be mounted on the shaft instead of the standard 3″ trunnion:
- For processing on all NEPATA UA1650 and UA1850 models.
- For rewinding on the pure rewinding machines (without cut-off unit) of width 1650 and 1850.
The change only takes a few minutes (installation video here).
Some media are only available from the manufacturer on 6-inch sleeves, for example magnetic foil or stone chip protection foil. To unwind these, we previously offered an adapter that is attached to our 3″ clamping spigot. Compared to the adapter, the new 6″ clamping spigot enables higher speeds as well as rewinding on some models.
By the way: For media that can be wound onto smaller diameters, we also offer 2-inch and 40 mm expansion pins and expansion shafts.
