Would Winfried Brux have imagined back in 1975 that, by importing coated films from the USA to Germany, he was laying the foundation for BRUXSAFOL Folien GmbH to become, in 2023, one of the most established and respected suppliers of high-quality self-adhesive film in Germany?
At the very least, the trained painter and plasterer was well aware that films capable of filtering infrared and UV rays were a novelty on the German market, and in the 1980s he also successfully expanded the sales network into several European countries. Today, architectural films – which include sun protection, safety and decorative films – still account for one third of the company's portfolio. The other two thirds are made up of paint protection films and car wrapping.
BRUXSAFOL is the exclusive trading partner (Germany, Austria and parts of Switzerland) of XPEL, the world-renowned manufacturer of paint protection films. In addition, in the field of car wrapping, the Hammelburg-based company has established its own brand, PWF (Platinum Wrapping Film), as an exclusive brand with worldwide success in just 10 years.
But no matter which film from the company's three sectors is involved, one thing above all is decisive when processing it: precision.
An accuracy of over 99.9%
Nepata machines stand out for their extremely high accuracy during rewinding – over 99.9%. For one metre of film, the deviation is therefore less than one millimetre, which means less waste, less scrap and fewer customer complaints for the distributor. The ConvertPlus control software that comes with the Nepata machines also contributes significantly to greater efficiency, more precise work and error prevention. The control software groups orders sensibly – across multiple delivery notes if required.
It is not only the precise and fast work of the Nepata converting centres that impresses the operators at the machines day after day. When rewinding, length-trimming and slitting high-priced films, clean winding, optimal web tension and the absolute integrity of the films also play a decisive role. All of these points are guaranteed with Nepata machines.
“With some high-priced films, every centimetre decides whether we make money on them or not. Reducing the waste rate was therefore one of our main concerns when procuring a Nepata machine.”
Michael Brux, CEO Bruxsafol
Part of BRUXSAFOL's work processes for eight years
Today, the modern halls of BRUXSAFOL house not only two UA 1650 ADWS converting centres, but even a UA 1850 ADWS with a cutting width of 185 cm, built especially at Michael Brux's request. It is the personal exchange about needs and concerns that, on the one hand, ensures the continuous further development and optimisation of Nepata's machines and, on the other, strengthens customer satisfaction – in the case of BRUXSAFOL, since February 2015.
Nepata has thus been part of BRUXSAFOL's work processes for eight years now, and therefore part of a success story that is second to none.
