The UA 1850 E ADWS rewinding and slitting machine combines the Economy rewinder with a 1850 mm working width and a professional slitting system with a 1950 mm working width that meets even the highest demands for precision and efficiency. This makes a genuine NEPATA solution for rewinding and length trimming of roll media such as plotter films, adhesive films, tinting films, sun protection films, flock films and flex films available to smaller vinyl film resellers too, who handle a lower daily throughput of individual unwinding and cutting, but who also need to produce precise cuts of tapes, bands and strips or simply customer-specific roll widths. Like all NEPATA film-converting machines, the UA 1850 E ADWS rewinds media very accurately and slits the rolls afterwards when required.
In doing so it offers high ergonomics and safety for the operator and high productivity through minimal set-up times and high web speeds. The winding tension is electronically controlled and adjustable. After rewinding, the vinyl film is trimmed to length manually at a cutting edge with dust protection.
The slitter has a pneumatic clamping system and two digital displays. It can optionally be equipped with a line laser for the cutting edge and NEPATA's unique pad lubrication system. The machine is conveniently operated via a touchscreen, through which all the necessary operating modes and settings can be controlled, and it has a pneumatic clamping system for 3-inch cores (2 inches optional on the unwind side).
The maximum diameter for rolls on the unwind side is 400 mm; rolls with a maximum diameter of 280 mm can be rewound and slit. The maximum rewinding speed is 1.0 m/s and the maximum roll weight is 25 kg. The UA 1850 E ADWS rewinding and slitting machine is fully compatible with the ConvertPlus software, with which all converting operations can be controlled error-free from your ERP system — in the process, customer rolls and master rolls (stock rolls) each receive labels with the corresponding running lengths, widths and other data.
