Collection and delivery times that do not directly add value. To automate this collection and delivery process, NEPATA has developed a completely new storage system for roll media. You can read here about how the rolls are stored (namely vertically), how a robotic arm transports the required rolls to the handover point, and how the rolls are put into storage (using a chaotic storage allocation method). - Stock levels and storage locations can be accessed in real time.
During development, we focused on ensuring a high capacity for the automatic storage and retrieval of rolls. The robot can handle 120 cycles per hour. The size and capacity of the overall system can be customised. For example, we have designed sample configurations for 830 or 2,300 rolls.
