Our automated storage system for roll media is truly innovative: it saves staff time when retrieving and returning rolls. And it saves storage space. Here are two example configurations. The key feature: here, the rolls are stored extremely compactly in a block storage system, sorted by diameter into specific zones and, above all, stored vertically. This is significantly more compact than would be possible on shelving units with standard reach heights within the same floor space.
For large warehouses: gantry system
In this example, depending on the roll diameter, approximately 2,300 rolls can be stored within a gross area of 116 square metres (including the racking and transfer stations).
