For every material
we have the solution.

Whether nonwovens, protective films, marking strips, PTFE-coated glass fabric, self-adhesive films or high-performance tapes — our slitting solutions deliver precise cutting, high efficiency and consistent quality.

Nonwovens — the popular all-rounder

Nonwovens — the popular all-rounder

Nonwovens for masks, dressings, hygiene products and cleaning wipes.

Nonwovens are used not only to manufacture masks, but also for medical dressings, hygiene products, padding materials, cleaning wipes and much more. Given their versatility and broad range of applications, precise processing is essential.

With Nepata machines, nonwovens can be wound, length-trimmed and cut in various widths — with high precision, speed and consistent edge guidance. Small and large batches are processed equally efficiently, with a fast response to changing requirements.

Reflective vinyl film

Reflective vinyl film

Hard, expensive material — at over 99.9% cutting accuracy.

Reflective films are a particular challenge for converting machines: the glass beads that create the reflection make the material very hard and tough, and cause heavy wear on the blades. At the same time, reflective films — for truck markings, for example — are very expensive and demand the highest precision when cutting.

With an accuracy of over 99.9%, Nepata's solutions deliver less waste and lower costs — every blade geometry is matched to the material class.

PTFE-coated glass fabric

PTFE-coated glass fabric

Highly stable, hard-wearing — and cleanly cut.

PTFE-coated glass fabric can be cut and wound effortlessly with Nepata machines. This stable material is frequently used for fabrics and membranes because it is especially hard-wearing. We have already carried out in-house slitting trials with material from Forflon — including self-adhesive glass fabric.

Our 1900 ADWS slitting machine proves to be the perfect choice for such demanding cases. With its special 5 mm bevel-ground blade and our unique pad lubrication system, precise, clean cuts are achieved without damage or fraying.

Double-sided adhesive film

Double-sided adhesive film

Adhesive tapes for industry, construction and hobby — master rolls instead of warehouse overload.

Our length-trimming and rewinding machines are ideal for producing all kinds of adhesive tape. The market for adhesive films and technical tapes is huge — and cutting these materials is often a challenge. With our sophisticated lubrication system, we make super-precise cuts at high speed possible.

Customers often need adhesive tapes in specific widths. Instead of stocking every width individually, master rolls can be cut to the desired width only when an order comes in. This minimises inventory and increases flexibility and speed in order processing — for large and small orders alike.

It doesn't always have to be film: (gift) paper

It doesn't always have to be film: (gift) paper

Paper, too, is processed precisely, quickly and efficiently.

Did you know that Nepata machines aren't just suitable for vinyl films? They also process paper precisely, quickly and efficiently — ideal for small 3–4 metre gift-paper rolls straight from the master roll. With a capacity of around 100 rolls per hour or several hundred rolls per day.

Other materials such as sublimation paper are no problem either. With the coreless UA 770 rewinding and length-trimming machine, you can even rewind and cut paper without cores. Our processing solutions are profitable from just a few thousand rolls per year.

Adhesive film in strips — an absolute classic

On 100 mm segments, the deviation was no more than 0.2 mm.

With Nepata machines, you can process self-adhesive films effortlessly and with consistent quality. The 1900 ADWS offers the precision and accuracy you need for tapes and narrow rolls.

In in-house tests with the Ritrama O series, several segments of 100 mm width each were cut — the result: consistently clean cuts, smooth edges and a deviation of no more than 0.2 mm across all segments. Constant quality with every cut — crucial for the performance and appearance of your end products.

Better safe than sorry: protective films

Stone-chip protection, profile protection, metal protection — tough, but mastered.

Protective films for plastic profiles, metal or stone-chip protection can be processed efficiently with Nepata machines. The tough material is often a challenge to cut — but easily mastered thanks to our innovative slitting technology.

Nepata machines are fitted with a novel 5 mm slitting blade featuring a large-area bevel grind that penetrates the material better. A unique pad lubrication system applies silicone oil precisely to the blade, cleaning and braking it. An integrated line laser shows the exact position of the blade — and the double-length telescopic slitting lever ensures consistent control.

Marking strips & barrier tapes

Marking strips & barrier tapes

Narrow tapes from adhesive film or reflective film — cleanly slit.

Our specialist machines slit marking strips and barrier tapes from large rolls — for unprinted and pre-printed PVC alike. This saves time in production and opens up purchasing and logistics advantages.

The ADWS models set themselves apart from the competition by also achieving excellent results with difficult materials and narrow tapes. The 5 mm bevel-ground slitting blade copes even with tough material such as reflective film or application tape, the pad lubrication system keeps the blade in shape, and the integrated line laser places every cut exactly.

Top performance with high-performance tape

Top performance with high-performance tape

Orabond 1397 in 5–12 mm strips — cleanly slit, because the blade stays clean.

Nepata slitting solutions cope effortlessly even with high-performance tapes — as shown by a successful in-house test with Orabond 1397 from Orafol. From a full roll, strips between 5 and 12 mm were produced with the UA 1650 ADWS precision converting centre.

The slitting works flawlessly — but the tape lives up to its promise and sticks extremely well. This is where the Nepata lubrication system pays off, applying silicone oil precisely to the blade and continuously cleaning it. With the thicker adhesive layer of the Orabond 1397, a smaller, single-bevel-ground slitting blade (2.0 × 240 mm) did the job best — Nepata offers a wide selection of blades for every application.
