The JRU 1550 jumbo roll unwinder has been developed specifically for use in wide-format and LFP printing, enabling high-volume print jobs without time-consuming roll changes. Designed as a mobile system, the JRU 1550 can be moved flexibly on castors and positioned and locked precisely behind a range of printer systems via mechanical stations. Thanks to its self-contained control via a dancer-roller system, the machine requires no electrical interface to the printer's PLC.
Material feed is driven purely by tension from the printer itself, while the unwinder maintains a constant web tension at all times. This ensures that print quality remains identical to that of internal unwinding, while at the same time allowing jumbo rolls weighing up to 700 kg and with a diameter of 60 cm to be processed.

- Processes jumbo rolls weighing up to 700 kg and with a diameter of 60 cm.
- Enables uninterrupted production with roll lengths of up to 1,500 linear metres.
- Control is purely mechanical via a dancer-roller system - no connection to the printer PLC required.
- Two units can be placed in parallel behind a 3.2 m printer for the simultaneous feed of two rolls.
- Optimised for unwinding large quantities, but also supports the controlled rewinding of smaller remnants.
- Thanks to integrated castors and a mechanical lock, the system can be switched quickly between different print stations.
