The JC 1650

The Jumbo Companion JC 1650 can be operated alongside a UA 1650 ADWS converting centre or a UA 1650 rewinding machine to unwind, in addition to these machines' internal unwind, jumbo rolls or master rolls up to 100 cm in diameter and up to 500 kg in weight. The material is drawn into the rewinding machine under the familiar web-tension control and is then available there for the series production of short rolls and narrow rolls. At the same time, the conventional internal unwind can still be used on the Nepata rewinders and slitters.
On the JC 1650, master rolls are set up using through-type tension shafts in 3" or 6" diameter; the roll, with the shaft tensioned, is then placed into the jumbo unwinder via hinged bearings and locked in place. The vinyl film web is fed to the Nepata rewinding machine from the rear. Thanks to the JC 1650's smart web control, the loaded material is only contacted and redirected on its underside, not on its top side.
