This world first avoids plastic waste and costly disposal: the delaminating machine separates the vinyl film from the backing paper on self-adhesive films. This makes it possible to recover recyclable, single-grade PVC from defective film media. During the production of self-adhesive film, the coating process inevitably generates scrap.
Until now, these defective film rolls had to be disposed of at great expense, because plastic and paper cannot be recycled when bonded together. The Nepata DL 1650 film separator enables automated delamination for the first time: the machine separates a 50-metre roll in around two minutes. Rolls of up to 350 mm diameter and 1,650 mm width can be processed.
