Simply swap the tension chucks – and you can then process material on 6’’ cores using NEPATA rewinders.
The ‘thicker’ tension chuck can be fitted to the shaft instead of the standard 3-inch tension chucks:
- For unwinding on all NEPATA UA1650 and UA1850 models.
- For winding on dedicated rewinding machines (without a cutting unit) with widths of 1650 and 1850.
It only takes a few minutes to change (installation video here).
Some media are only available from the manufacturer on 6-inch cores, such as magnetic foil or stone-chip protection film. To unroll these, we previously offered an adapter that clips onto our 3-inch tension chucks. Compared to the adapter, the new 6-inch tension chuck allows for higher speeds and, on some models, also enables rewinding.
By the way: for media that can be wound onto smaller diameters, we also stock 2-inch and 40mm tension chucks and tension shafts.
