A high-performance adhesive tape does one thing: it sticks firmly. But even this is no match for NEPATA’s cutting solutions, as the test with Orafol’s Orabond 1397 proves. In the NEPATA test studio, we produced strips between 5 and 12 mm wide from a whole roll of Orabond 1397PP. We used the UA1650 ADWS precision converting centre. Our conclusion: cuts well, but sticks like mad! It’s good to have the NEPATA lubrication system, which precisely applies silicone oil to the blade and keeps it constantly clean. Another advantage is that we have the right blade for every application and every material. In this case, with the thicker adhesive layer, a smaller, single-sided bevelled slitting blade measuring 2.0 mm x 240 mm served us well.
